I have a customer who added a second t-1 card and add'l PRI circuit that I am having a problem with. Everything as far as I can see is configured correctly, PRI, lines provisioned, PRI-B is allowed on my test extension, but I cannot make or receive calls on the circuit. I also tried to program a DID for the set using one of the new DID's that came with the circuit and it did not work. Does the second PRI only kick in when the 23 channels on the first PRI are all being used? I am a bit confused, this is my first "dual PRI" situation and any help will be appreciated!

depends on how provider has set up... can be programmed as 1 pipe make sure you have a d channel per span and not 1 for the both of them...and what are your settings for the pri and last but not least what ver of software you at...4.0 and 4.1 are worthless for pri and should be upgraded to atleast 5.0

no it doesnt have to be ...unless ur CO has configured for overflow trunk group.
for outgoing:
you can build a routing table to go out on ur second PRI

whereas with incoming calls it is seamless ...build a target line with the DNIS and put that on a set ...and the call shd come in.

I would check with your carrier and make sure thay are actually functioning as seperate circuits.
