I have a problem with "PCI System Managment Bus" when the CPU finds the new software it wants me to install its drivers. BUT I can´t find the drivers on any driverCD nor on the Windows98-CD. So my problem is: How can I fix this!?

Hi,

I am having the same problem as you wee with the PCI System Managment bus. Did you ever find out what the problem was? I don't even know what the PCI Sys Managment bus is. Can you help?

You need to identify your motherboard and download the drivers and/or inf files for that. This is a common problem for Intel and VIA chipsets.

you should try windows 98 second edition. but very imporatnt: install youre mother board drivers before you install sound card, video card, etc. i have an ASUS CUSL-2C, and i had the same problem.

I'm having the same problem with the asus cusl2-c. I've already installed the mobo, soundcard and video card, and I did install the mobo drivers first, but still I get the problem with the pci system management bus. I went to the asus website and they don't seem to have drivers available for it. Any ideas on how to fix this?

SOLUTION:

Ok, that was easier than I thought. Simply find the asus intell 815 chipset series cd that came with the motherboard. In the cd is folder called infupdt (or something to the effect of inf update). Run the setup program within and problem solved!

I also need help with the PCI bus mangement system Is a fix avalible?

I really wish I had a good answer for you. I had the same problem and tried and tried with no success, eventually I suceeded but I don't know why. This is what I did.
First I ran the installation file that I had already run, then I deleted the "PCI System Managment Bus" from system manager. Restarted windows and it reinstalled everything that it did the first time but this time it also installed the "PCI System Managment Bus". The file was "driver_chipset_intel_inf", which I downloaded from Gigabytes website from the mboard site for my mboard.
That seems too simple to me, so in the event you think it may have helped I was listening to "The Porkers" (an Aussie ska band) the song that was playing while I restarted was "Skankin Car Park Blues" and I was siting on a yellow & white stool. ;)
Hope something helped.

(I really think The Porkers had something to do with it)
