I have built a computer for my wife's friend. It is an MSI Mobo Nforce2 chipset, AMD XP 2400+,512 ddr400,lite-on cdrw, 80gb WD HD. I allocated 64mb ram to video. I loaded XP Pro + SP1 and the machine kept having random reboots and IE would not work. I then Reformatted and started again. I loaded Xp then tried to load SP1 and now it cannot load cab files. The only difference between the two installs is that on the second I did not load the audio drivers (not varified by microsoft). So far the machine is running fine but I would like to load SP1 and update to the fullest. The computer also scrolls really slow for some reason. Any ideas, Please Help?

Thank you [bigcheeks]

Hi !

Your mobo is an K7N2G ?
If yes, so look at the version of your Bios, first.

Because I had one K7N2G-ILSR with an XP 2400+ before and it worked perfectly with win XP SP1.

I just update the Bios version (because I would "upgrade" my proc too).

I don't know if it can help you, but I tried. ;-)
