I have installed livelink 9.1.0.2 version on Sun box, I have selected External Storage option and I am having problem saving/ Retrieving files, when I save the file, the file info(size) is saved correctly and when I open/download/view the file I am getting a file with ZERO bytes. I have installed Multi Volume provider module.

Checked the user permissions, looks like they are good, both the webserver user and livelink user belongs to one another's group.

Other problems that I am experiencing are:
when I try to delete a document I am getting following error:
Livelink Error:
Error dispatching request.
[Invalid function "llworkspacenull".]

and if I try to "VIEW" a document which is not text I get the following message.
Server is too busy processing other requests.

Please try again. If the problem persists, contact your Livelink administrator

ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED..

please check the viewable mimetypes of your opentext.ini.the server is too busy message is usually associated with wrong mime type definition. Are you seeing the same errors in when doing a fetch also. Also any changes you make to the ini file the llserver needs a re-start

check thread862-648081 which will give you a head start on altering mime types etc

I run the same config but internal storage with iplanet 6.o as web server

Thanks for the respone.. Actually problem was with the permissions and the mime types. I fixed both and it worked.

Do you still get the error [Invalid function "llworkspacenull".] when deleteing? I have a similar error but only when trying to delete from a Personal Workspace. It only happens on WinXP / IE6 / Sun JVM
client.

Regards, Mark.

Have you tried turning off the SUN JVM as it is known to cause issues with LL ?

Greg,
Open Text supports Sun 1.3.1_06 which I'm using. We have to use a Sun JVM as XP/IE6 no longer ships/supports Native MS JVM. OT Support believe it should work. It's only deleting from Personal Workspace, regardless of MIME type, including trying to delete Projects. The object does get deleted, just the browser miss reports and send the error back.

Mark.
