Help..

I have a stencil created in Visio 3 then moved to Visio 5 now in Visio Standard 2002.

However, on going to 2002 the stencil objects take 10's of seconds to drop onto the drawing, it was fine in Visio 5 whats gone wrong.

regards
Darren

Hi there, nothings wrong exactly, the same thing happens when you load a visio5 stencil into visio2000. The program is simply doing an import/conversion to the visio2000/xp format. Once you have it loaded, just right click on the bar of the stencil, and choose edit. Now your stencil will have a little red asterix on it to say it is 'open for editing' then, simply right click again and 'save'. you will then get a message that says do you want to save this in the 'current format' or as visio5 format. If you choose 'current format', the stencil will be saved as visio2000/xp format, and the delay will never happen again. the problem is that visio5 and older will never be able to read that newly saved file.

Sorry but,I did the save in Visio 2002 the stencil is still very slow. Any other ideas please.
