Problem using MySql with invision power board

hey

im trying to set up and invision power board on an appache 2 server with php 4 and MySql 4.

i get this error when trying to set up the forum

Connection error:

Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

any ideas?

Upgrade the mysql client lirbary. You are likely using mysql 4.1x and using a mysql 4 or less library
