I have accounting program written with VFP Ver. 6 and I trying to use HTML help for my customers. I find it works fine only if the user has VFP Ver. 6 installed in his computer. I use right click in the button where help is required with "set topic (name of topic) help or keyboard '{f1}'. NeEd to make it work without needing VFP in the computer of the user. HELP'!!!

tHANKS IN ADVANCE.

estin,

This page ( on the Fox Wiki tells you which runtime files you need to install along with the normal VFP runtime files in order to get help to work.

Hope that helps,

Stewart

Stewart,

I think you meant VFP6 runtimes, rather than VFP9. But in order for Help to work, there are other files required to be installed on the user's computer aside from the runtimes

Take a look here.

Estin,

You need to copy the following files on the user's PCs:

HH.EXE
HHCtrl.OCX
ITIRCL.DLL
ITSS.DLL

These should all be available on the computer on which VFP is installed.

I place these in the same directory as the executable file. As far as I know, there is no need to register any of them.

Of course, you also need the CHM file.

Mike
