We are trying to upgrade from a CS1000S from Rls 4.5 to CS1000E Rls 5.5, the upgrade go through ok however to of the MGCs seem to be conflicting. When both MGC 0 1 and 4 1 are connected to the ELAN, MGC 4 1 display shows 0 1. The deplist for the call server and MGC cards have been loaded. The IP configuration of MGC 4 1 is the same as 0 1, however even after reconfiguring with the correct IP address, once the 2 devices are plugged in together, it reverts to the original IP.

Has anyone experienced such a problem?

Did you check the settings for the SUPL associated with the IPMG? I know you ahve to put an IP address in there when you build the SUPL for the IPMG. Did you also connect to the MGC during it;s bootup and set your initial setup stuff there? You also have to configure the MGC in EM?

Seems like you ahve to set up the same info in more than one place to get these to work right.

I beleive you will find the problem in LD97 IPMG programming. You will need to program your DSP daughterboards in Element Mgr, however this will not have any effect on how your MGC cards comming up correctly.

Hello Atascoman,

We did make the changes in the LD97 which links the SUPL to a IP address. What we discovered was that during the initial setup of the MGCs, 2 of them were assigned the same IP address and this caused a conflict. So the problem we are encountering is that when we try reconfigure one of them with the correct IP address. It accepts the reconfiguration initially, however after the MGC reloads it reverts the original IP address.

Thanks,
Clarence

Hi GrifC

See this thread thread798-1456808

You have to remove or rename the files in the PDT
