I was successfully running Approach 97 under Windows 98, using the following feature: I need to print on special forms at times, on blank paper at others. The solution was to have an HP 1200 laser hooked to the parallel port and a Samsung M1210 laser hooked to the USB port. The specific printer was designated through "Print" commands in macros that I wote. I just updated to Approach 9.8 under Windows XP on a Dell D600, with the HP as the default printer. When I try to print to the Samsung, it goes to print spool and stays there. When I try to purge the spool, nothing happens until I close down Approach. Test page works ok, and if I manually print from within Approach (eg Ctr P) and designate the Samsung, it will go into terminal spool on the first try, then print properly on the second try. I tried making Samsung the default printer, I deleted the Samsung printer and driver and reloaded it (via plug-and-play), but to no avail. Any ideas?
