Problem to view 2 servers

I have a old server Novell Netware 3.1 and i have installed a another server Novell Netware 5.1. I can't see my two server together. If i load the server Novell Netware 5.1, i can't see the old server. If i down this server i see the old server. Why ?

Where are you looking? Are you running IPX on the 5.1 server? -----------------------------------------------------

If I recall correctly, the frame types for IPX/SPX changed when NetWare 4.x was introduced. Try adding an 802.2 frame type to the 3.x box and see if you can see both servers then.

Do you have different file server names and IPX internal network numbers on these servers?

I have this problem with novell 51 and novell41
Do I have to bind the 51 to 41 or is it the other way around?

Don't quite understand what you mean cmills - if your two servers are running IPX with the same frame type as your LAN (should be 802.2 as gcvan has a;ready said), and providing you have different server and internal ipx names (as already stated by yvfwc), you should be ok. -----------------------------------------------------
