When I go into the chooser on my G4 iMac and click on the adobe PS printer, Apple Laserwriter etc there are no printers to choose from in the printer list on the right hand side of the panel as I would expect to see. This means when I try to print an image on an A4 page to the edge or include a bleed in Adobe Illustrator and create a PDF I still get imaginery page bounderies and any image near the edge of the page is clipped. Could someone please let me know how to set up my PS printer and PPD file correctly or at least let me know if I'm overlooking the obvious so I can resolve this. I do have the latest Adobe PS printer driver and PPD file on my Mac and I do know how to print PS files in illustrator etc. but I can't find any print list in the chooser as mentioned before. I would appreciate if someone could give me a quick guide on making sure my PS printer and PPD files are installed correctly. Also, when I do click on the Adobe PS printer in the chooser I get a message saying the printer requires Appletalk to be activated but the Mac is a standalone unit and I do not intend to have it network in any way. I don't have any problems printing a full A4 page with bleed in QuarkXpress using Distiller and creating a PS file so I must presume my PPD file is OK.

Thanks in advance.

Got it sorted...

....wrong box selected in print setup box..

I'm only creating postscript files locally on my desktop. I have got my desktop printers/page size sorted now but I still can't understand why I don't have any additional printer options in my chooser when the PPD files are present in my hard disk and also why Appletalk is required to be activated to use the Adobe PS drivers when I'm not on a network?

Cheers
