I have an IPS 2000 System that has been working fine for a couple of years.
Now all of a sudden I have a couple of exts that cant set call forwards.( its not SFC related)
They have tried using the Callback cancel codes in case there is a stuck callback but that doesnt help.

The Call forward can't be set in software either ( using E60x).
The only way I can get the ext working is to delete all the programming , and re-assign it.

Does anyone know of anything else that a user can do to stop the ability of setting Call forwards?

They probably have CallBack set.... If your numbeering plan is default you should go to the phone, pick up the handset and dial # 1 to cancel Callback. This should allow call forwarding to be set.

Not likely, but...there used to be a limit of 96 call forwards off premis which was increased to over 400 in the IPS. If you have a CCIS network it is possible to reach the limit. One way to tell is to cancel the FWD on one phone then try to set it on the one with the problem .If it works, then you may be at the limit. You don't say what indication you are getting. Does it say RST, BSY, etc?

the end user is getting restricted.
They are not at the limit as i can still set fwds using software and all other users can set / cancel fwds no problems

Have you personally checked the call back code in command 200 and then personally gone and tried the clear? I never believe it till I've checked it myself (I've had people say they have done this only to find they didn't lift the handset before dialling the code!). Always take into account the idiot factor.

If not you could try a system reset or if worst comes to worst delete the extensions and reprogramme them.

Yeah , I hear what you are saying . Deleting and reassigning the stations works as I have already done it for a different ext with the same problem.
The problem I have now though is the new ext is on a DMR in Perth and I am in Adelaide. I am trying to avoid having to organise a contractor to go onsite.
Is there any commands yet to check ext status as far as DND is concerned yet ?

You can use CMD E400 (3700 R12.2 required) to check the status of the phone. It will give you an 8 digit result which shows whether the terminal is connected, whether it's in make busy, line status, call forward info, and DND info.

With regard to the callback issue, a user can have up to 5 callbacks set. Did you keep dialing the callback cancel code until you got a reorder tone? Each time you cancel a callback you hear a solid cancel tone. With no more callbacks set you get a broken reorder tone.
