I am running GroupWise 7 on an SLES 9 server. Everything works fine for the most part, but one really weird thing is happening when I try to send mail from my GroupWise account to my Hotmail account. If I send a new message from GW to hotmail, very rarely does the message show up in hotmail and it does not bounce back to GW. If I send a mail from hotmail to GW and reply back to hotmail it goes thru every time.

I have checked the logs of the GWIA and nothing seems out of the ordinary there. What may be the cause of this?

Thanks.

What you need to do is turn the logging to VERBOSE, then send a message.. Check the logs and see what kind of messages you get at the time you sent the message.

I have set logging to verbose and here's what I get:

I had some conversations with the folks at Microsoft, and it turns out they've been filtering my mail. They instructed me to add a SPF entry into DNS, and once I did that it helped a ton and now as far as I can tell, most of or all of my mail is coming through to hotmail.

This is the same problem that we've had reported today by some of our users. Thanks for the info - I'll pass this on to our DNS team.
