Problem Scheduling Backup Exec Under Windows ME

I have a user who is running Backup Exec ver 4.5 on Windows ME. It is currently
scheduled set to back up files nightly at 11:00 PM.
However, on days when he reboots his machine, the backup no longer runs as
scheduled. For instance, he last rebooted his machine on
11/21 and the scheduled backup has not run since (even though the set up
in Backup Exec appears correct and has not been changed).
Any thoughts as to how this could be possible? (Note: Hibernate is not enabled)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Tom

Did all the services start backup? I'm sure you checked this though. Is your backup storage device using a SCSI card? Is your media full or write protected? I am just throwing ideas out, I don't know enough about your problem. Could you give some more details?

Thanks for your reply. All other services start up normally. The backup is written to disk on a network server. Again, this appears to function normally until shutting down the machine and restarting. At that point, the user must go into the Back Up Exec scheduler to "reset" the schedule, and everything runs normally thereafter (until the next reboot).

Any thoughts?

Thanks again,
Tom
