Problem saving files with Word 2000

I am working on a document and I try to save my work and all the buttons on my toolbar are greyed out. And it doesn't allow me to save my document.

Anyone have any information would be greatly appreciated.

Is it a specific document, or is it the case with all documents? What buttons are greyed out? Do you have full access to the directory?
