Problem Referencing DAO Library?

Hi,

Does anyone know which library needs to be referenced to use DAO?

Basically I'm trying to do a record count & it won't recognise any of my code. (I can see the DAO library through my object browser) I don't know if it's related, but I can't access any of the relavant help files either.

I'm not sure if it is a problem referencing the library, it seems as good a place to start as any, but if anyone has any other bright ideas please let me know!

I've tried repairing office, I've had time yet to try re-installing.

I am not sure If I understand your quesiton
I think go tools=>reference you will find "MS DAO libarary" , a bunch of them to choose from.

Sorry to be a bit unclear on this one, I'm not really sure what my problem is, so I'm finding it hard to know exactly what question to ask.

I've got Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library referenced, I can see it through my object browser, but when I try to use it it doesn't seem to be recognised (eg it doesn't change openrecordset to OpenRecordset as I'm writing the code & I get errors such as "Type mismatch&quot
