Problem Querying an Access Query

I have all of a sudden started recieving this error when i query an access query instead of a table

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e10'
No value given for one or more required parameters.

my query is very simple
gtresults.Open "SELECT * FROM ApprovedAssignment1 ", db, adOpenStatic
All of these used to work, is there something different about querying a query?
I do have a lot of queries in my database is that a factor?

Have you removed an include that was setting the constant for adOpenStatic?

Try just
gtresults.Open "SELECT * FROM ApprovedAssignment1 ", db

tried it, it doesn't work either. I tried running the query on both tables and they work so i am at a loss.

Have you set db to the connection string?

db= "Provider=....
