My company is running EPO version 3.5 with the latest patches. I was in the past able to push agents from my consoles. Lately, I have not been able to and when I check the server events instead of telling me it was unable to push the agent, I am getting a message "Failed to process console request, please check server.log for detail" I checked the server.log on my epo server and did not find anything useful. I looked up the error on Mcafee support site and found nothing that fixed my problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Brian-

This is just a shot in the dark but have you diabled the firewalls on these new machines? I had trouble with this same thing and was unable to connect and make the installation until I disabled those XP firewalls.

David Tracy.

I have this problem on any OS. Some of the machines are Windows XP, but others are Win 2k. No firewall with them 2k. And as far as I know, we had not made any changes on our firewall that would block EPO.
I know of the problem with Windows XP SP-2 firewall blocking EPO and McAfee. That's a pain from administrator point of view. Thanks for the help though.

Anyone else have an idea...

Im having this same problem currently only I dont get an error message i get "push in progress" never fails or succeeds they just seem to time out or sit in que. The only thing I can think of is some users were I work are in a different domain than what the original ePO credentials have access to. Thats a pain to figure out each users credentials. Also certain things have to be configured for a push to work, if the user(s) disable or change them like file or printer sharing the push fails.

of course Im one to talk since i havent figured my problem out yet... unless it is infact the credentials.

also, if you have access to the knowlegde base, take a lookat these 2 articles: kb38050 and kb40944
