Hi,
Recently my Win2K File Server crashed with total data lost, we face a lot of problem when try to run the data recovery.

Backup server: Win2K with Networker server 6.2 installed
Backup client: Win2K with Networker client 6.2 installed

Backup schedule: Once full backup on Saturday permonth, the rest of the Saturday run Level 5 backup, weekday is incremental backup.

We are trying to restore the full data of our E drive which is our group and home drive for users. Expected size is 250GB data need to be recover.

We use the "saveset recover option" at the Networker User gui, recovery started by selecting the latest full backup saveset follow by latest level 5 saveset and latest incremental saveset.

After done with the above restoration, we found that a lot of folders and files are missing.

Anyone encounter this problem before in term of huge data restoration? or could it be the way we run restore here is not appropriate? Any advice or suggestion would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

Not really, but to my opinion you really do to few full backups, are your backup windows or storage capacities so little ?
In term of crash recover you could also have a lots of problems because of media dependencies...

If you launch Networker user in "Browse Recovery" mode,
do this files and folders appears (changing the browse time to the date of your last wanted incremental backup) ?

Thank you for reply.

We have a Tanberg 10 slots library with single DLT8000 drive connected to the NT backup server, the backup window is around 12 hours started from 7pm every evening.

Since the data browse and retention is not expire, we can still navigate the online indexes.
