About us:
Small charity recently acquired a server.

Sytem info:
BT Router
Windows 2000 Server
DNS installed
DHCP installed
Routing and Remote Access installed
Active Directory installed
Windows XP Client

Problem:
On client machines we keep losing internet access but
don't understand how to resolve problem properly

Current solution:
Disable and Enable LAN network connection
This only resolves the problem temporarely, sometimes
five minutes, sometimes longer.

Questions:
Due to the current lack of knowledge I don't know how to
troubleshoot this problem. Any hints or solutions would
greatly appreciated and if you live close enough we'll
buy you a beer.

Does your server lose access to the internet as well?

No my server does not lose access and as far as I understand this is because it uses a fixed IP address

OK, so then you're not really losing internet access. Your clients are periodically unable to resolve internet addresses, it sounds like. When this happens, can the clients still see each other internally?

OK, then reverse that :) Internally , you're good. It's the internet connection to the server, specifically the router, that's dropping you. Have you contacted your ISP?
