So here we go,
I have a farm of five Windows 2000/SP4 servers.
Some time ago (2 weeks) I tried to uninstall Citrix from two other servers. For some reason it didn´t work out as it should do.
I thought it would be the best to install these two servres from scratch and then join them back into the old farm. I set up both servers as I always do (Ghost image), customized the installations for my needs and tried to install MetaFrame XPe. I selected the "join farm mode" and typed my database server in the field. That seamd to work out up to there. I was asked for my user account, password and domain name. I used the same as I always do. (An account wich I always use for normal logons to accomplish my work, the account works 100% and is set as MetaFrame administrator). I got the message that I should check my username, password or domain name.
I have tried all different ways of typing the credencials:
username
username@domain
username@domain.suffix
domain\username
domain/username (you never know)
eaven tried adding the domain user to the local group of administrators on that machine!
Have tried othe accounts. Nothing. Always the same error message. Check username, password.... uauauauauaaaaa!
It has always worked in the past!
I assume it has to to with the incorrect uninstall before.
Somehow I still have some old server info in my IMA database (running on access).
Have tried:
dscheck -> showed 7 errors
dscheck /clean -> all errors solved
dsverify SERVERS -> only shows the servers wich are working fine and saying so too.
Have tried installing MetaFrame in "new farm mode". Got that running, but didn´t really help me, because I get the same behaviour when trying to join the old farm via "chfarm command".
When I look at my MF20.mdb in access, I see some values from my old servers wich i uninstalled some time ago. Can I edit the MF20.mdb somehow?
Has anyone had similar problems? Can someone please help me out here?
It´s bean driving me crazy for the last week and I don´t know what to do next.
Thank you all very much and excuse my bad english.
