Hello everyone,
I almost completely finished to configure a PBX ipLDK-20, but I'm stuck on how to transfer a call from an outside line to VMIB.
I have recorded the GREETING message,
FORWARD CALLS,
2. Press the [SPEAKER] button.
3. Press the [DND/FWD] button.
4. Dial 1
5. Dial # for VMIBE
But if a call comes from an outside line (analog or ISDN) the phone keeps ringing with no answer.
But If I call the extension 11 from another extension works perfectly ...
I also tried to enable AUTO RING but without success.
Thank you all for any help.
Nasca,

You can only send calls to voice mail through a station number that has been diverted/forwarded to the VMIBE (Voice mail).
So, if your station number is 102 and you get a call for 103, then 103 must be diverted to voice mail by using the procedure described in your question above.

So from 103, do this:
FORWARD CALLS,
1. Press the [SPEAKER] button.
2. Press the [DND/FWD] button or dial 554.
3. Dial 1
4. Dial # for VMIBE

When a call is received at 102, just forward it to 103, and the caller is transferred to VMIBE.

Dear Doctor, Thank you for your prompt reply,

So, it isn't possible to directly divert an external call to the answering machine but I have to make a "double" forwarding.
This evening I try and tell you if it worked.

Thanks again,

Nasca.

Dear Doctor,
I tried to divert calls on the station 17 to the station 11 with the procedure:
554 - 1 - 11

and switch on the answering machine on the station 11 with:
554 - 1 - #

but unfortunately if I call the station 17 with another extension (eg, 10) the answering machine work well, but not with an external call.
Of course I configured the CO the ring assignment in PGM 144/145 for ringing on the station 17.
I also tried to delete all ring assignment and leave only 17 but still does not work.
The station 11 ring, but voice mail dont start...
Thank You in Advance,

Nasca.

Sorry for double post...

My system is:
ipLDK-20 OFFICE
firmware: IT66P-3.6Eh NOV/06
LCOB2 (2 analogue line card) + CPCU4 card
LANU card
VMIB card

Hi Nasca

You can up grade to 3.9 software and use the group mailbox feature

Hi Thermus,
The only firmware that I found is a Spanish version (3.9Ec)
My firmware is an Italian version...
I would't want to risk losing all voice functionalities in Italian.
Why the firmware versions are different from one country to the other?
Thanks in advance.

Doktor is correct

The version is the same. Your VMIB will retain the original greetings.

Just make sure you take a download of your configuration before you upgrade.

Hi Doktor and Thermus,
I always have a bit of fear to make a firmware flash to a device, especially if a little older ...
I will try and I will tell ...
Thanks again.

Nasca

Ok problem solved:
In PGM450 -> CO Line Database Initialization
Re-assigned in PGM144 / 145 the ring assignment
For DAY 11-14-15-16
For others only 11 (DEFAULT)
I have changed SETTING DAY to NIGHT in station 11
Press the [DND / FWD]
press 2 for NIGHT
Press the [HOLD / SAVE] button
And finally ...
FORWARD CALLS,
Press the [SPEAKER] button.
Press the [DND / FWD] button.
dial 1
Dial # for VMIBE

Now it works perfectly !!!

Doktor and Thermus, thanks for the help!

Nasca
