I have a problem here that we can not reply to a sender if their naming convention has 2 dots in it ; mr.silly.man@company.com
But sending out is fine.

Can someone help ?

The error message suggest groupwise cannot find silly.man postoffice which indicate the two dots has confuse the reply procedure within GW.

Have you turned on internet addressing for your system. x.x.x is the syntax for internal groupwise. Domain.Postoffice.User

Check the internet addressing would be a good first step. Lee Smith

But I did already, do you mean the GWIA ? as this is an external mail we are replying to. Do you have any more hint on where to set this internet addressing ?

Am really appreciate a fix as we are flighting a war between Novell and Exchange at the moment among the snr management.

The next strange thing is we can send to this 2 dot add. but not when we click reply to it and click forward is fine
oh also if we use the GW 5.3 client that is fine too.

Internet addressing is set by

Groupwise system Operations
Internet addressing.

Check to see if there is any config there. If there is you should be set.

Also, check the gwia to make sure you have not clicked ignore internet addressing. Lee Smith
