Hi All,

I am using Photoshop 7.0 . Suppose I open 9 jpg files FILE01.jpg to FILE09.jpg . From the Open Dialog Box I select FILE01.jpg and Shift+Click FILE09.jpg, thus selecting all files. When photoshop opens all the files, the first file (On Top ) is FILE01.jpg and the last file (bottom most ) is appropriately FILE09.jpg. But the sequence of the files in the middle is reverse ie. FILE08.jpg is second topmost file, FILE07.jpg is third and so on. How can I open the files so that they are opened in sequence ?

instead of using shift click just select the files with a selection rectangle, that should let the files open in order.
I checked, and your right about the ordering, strange. I'll fiddle around, and see if I get an answer for you, in the meantime try the first idea.

Hi Barehug,
Selecting files with a selection rectangle, always opens the files in a reverse order. Moreover, this tool will not suit my need when selecting a particular range of files..

In that case, no.
It's a graphics editing app, not for presentation.
I take it that you want it in descending order 10>1.
Well, you may just have to do it one at a time, or shift click two files at a time eg 8 shift/click 9, 6 shift/click 7, etc.
