Dear all

I am using passport 8010 with 16 slot SXE card and also 4 port SC connector card.
Now I have migrated the terminations on 4 port SC connector card to 16 port SXE card.
Configuration is same.
but two of the four termination is not working.
I have checked the cables and also reset the port by disabling and enabling the port.
can anybody suggest what can be the problem.

Thanx in advance

Could be faulty ports. test by moving the devices which are working on the SXE card to the ports which dont work.. do they come up. Also It could be a polarity issue, try swapping the TX/RX cables at one end . Do you get a link light at each end ?

Do you have a link light on your fiber modules in the closet switches switches ?
You may want to check the Auto-neg on the fiber ports are set at as the fiber ports on the Switches.

Thanks for the reply.
The Auto-neg is same on the both end fibre. Also I the light on both side is not glowing.
To add to the observation .when I move the same cables to another free ports they become active.so the polarity is not the issue. Can be the faulty ports. but these ports were working.. before the migration.
Please advice.

I had the same issue. You need to disable autonegotiate at each end
