I created a 3 page Word 2000 document which contained a table, lots of items (it was an order form price list). I clicked on the toolbutton to "Convert to PDF" with my Acrobat 5.0, and everything seemed to be working fine...a dialog box came up saying it converted Headings, references, etc.... But the last item the dialog box said it was doing is "Printing....", and it seems to be stuck there now.

I've been waiting for about 15 minutes...I'm guessing it is hung up for some reason, unless it just really takes a long time? Any suggestions? I have plenty of RAM, I'm running Word 2000 with Win 98. thanks for any ideas....

Sagain,
Hopefully, you saved your Word file. If that's the case, and if you haven't already done so, shut down and re-boot, then re-open the doc file and re-PDF. If the same things happen, then you'll have to start checking settings in printer and distiller. There's too many places for hang-ups to be caused to offer specific advice at this time. Get back to us with your results.

The only way I resolved this problem was by re-installing Acrobat 5. Then I was able to convert Word 2000 --> .pdf

Were you print to a network drive? I've seen this be problems in my environment. Try PDF'ing to a local drive first.

Also, check the output DPI. If you are just doing regular printing and viewing then drop the DPI down to 150 or less.
I've had P4's top out their memory and shutdown because the DPI was so high.
