I have a setup with a bridged appearance with my modem extension on my telephone. I used to be able to place a call and have the user on the legend system transfer me to *10. I would then hit the connect on the SPM and was able to connect. Now it is acting like the modems are not handshaking. I can hear both trying to connect but they do not. I have checked my settings and everything looks fine. Is there something I am missing?

The Admin port on the processor may need to be reset from the maintenance menu. You may want to attempt the connection several times - before you use that option. Very often a connection can fail for various reasons (poor line quality, a "hung-up" modem (on one or both ends), etc. You can also try rebooting your computer - and then retrying to connect. You may also need to try rebooting the Legend system - and try again.

I have that problem a lot 'cause I dial into so many.

I have had better luck with some modems than with others.

To test if your Modem has gone south, I suggest you set up a TEST SYSTEM in your lab (With at least a T&R Module) and try doing an Internal call to it.

I think the issue of the modem going may be closer to the mark. I dial into so many systems and it is happening to all of them. I also have tried rebooting. That did not solve my issue. I worked beautiful until we have done a recent upgraded to our Definty system that I am off of.

Well - then - I would for sure try connecting from a "different" location (meaning different phone line) - before you give up on your modem. The problem could be the quality of the phone line. Very often - if you have digital lines converted to analog - you have this connection problem.
