I use Sygate Home Network to share internet connection with 1 or 2 other machines on a home network. I recently re-installed Windows ME on the host machine (with dial-up connection to the Internet). Since then other machine(s) accessing the web via the host can successfully browse ordinary web sites, but have problems with at least the following:

1) Web Outlook - I can successfully log on on a secure connection but cannot load content (i.e. e-mail) but instead get 'page cannot be displayed'

2) My personalized web page on Yahoo gives me the same result

3) My bank's on-line banking service reports that I do not have 128-bit encryption (!)

I experience none of these problems on the host machine. Incidentally Sygate reports that 'IP Forwarder' (which is incompatible to Home Network) is installed on my machine, but I can't find any reference on how to disable this for WinME.

HELP!

Solved my own problem... Sygate Home Network is incompatible with IP Forwarding and Microsoft Internet COnnection Sharing. However when I uninstalled ICS, IP Forwarder did not go away as it was supposed to. Sygate's support site describes how to disable IP Forwarder in Microsoft 98/ME.. and it worked!
