I have an ASUS CUSI-FX mobo, currently with BIOS revision 1007. Whenever I try to boot into any OS (using a bootable CD), the system starts to show some signs of booting (i.e. some normal, non-error text messages appear as the installation process begins), but quickly reboots itself. This happens with windows, linux, bsd, solaris, etc...
When I try to enter to BIOS, the system reboots itself. I managed to be able to use a boot disk created by win2k3 and that manages to boot, and got a DOS prompt. I then ran ASUS's flash util, but half-way through the flash, it reboots itself and says that the BIOS revision is unchanged.
The BIOS is soldered directly to the board, so I can't order a new one, and clearing the CMOS does not help anything.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
