I inherited our ArcServe problems and while looking through one of the backup jobs, backing up a Domino server, I noticed that none of the *.nsf files are being backed up. I'm not sure what to do. What shoudl I look for?

are you using the Lotus Notes/Domino Backup Agent ? Any messages in the job logs ?? Filters applied on *.nsf level ?

regards

I was told we are but don't know how to check. The only filters I see in the job if to filter out *.fl files but those are showing up in the backup. Go figure.

I don't see any messages in the job log, but it's set up for log summary only. should I change that?

smwoodcrafts,

We use domino agents to backup our domino servers. The two ways that I know of that you can check is by either connecting to the server itself and check to see if the CA Arcserve Domino Agent is installed on the server, or, when you look at the backup job, you can see it has a funky name that it is backing up. For example, my backup job states:

dbanotes@DOMINO_SERVERNAME

But, when I actually browse the files in ArcServe that are getting backed up, none of the ".nsf" files are physically checked. Instead, when you browse to the server running Domino, you can see a little Database icon followed by the string I wrote above. When you expand that item, you can see all of the Domino databases.
