I'm trying to program pretranslations to use on hotel guest phones. That way no one needs go room to room to reprogram autodial keys on when a hotel service's phone number changes.

I've run into a problem that I cannot find the cause to. 2 pretranslation lists are already defined but the feature isn't activated. I've added a 3rd list but, when I activate the feature in the system, the Operator consoles can't place internal calls and can place external calls without dialing "9" first.

I've deduced that pretranslation list #98 is probably assigned to the consoles. I just cannot find it in the programming for the consoles.

What I want to be able to do is to remove any pretranslation list assigned to the consoles so that I can activate the feature to use on the guest phones. If someone can point me in the right direction, please do.

My program particulars are below -

XLST 0 - using by trunk
XLST 1 (PRE) - using by ATT

Never use XLST 1 (Pre)to any extension, this will affect the dialing translation to ypur 2250 console.

@ Villareal: XLST 2 is the one I'm trying to use. As you can see, I assigned LSNO 1 to XLAT 2.

I've deduced that pretranslation list #98 is probably assigned to the consoles. I just cannot find it in the programming for the consoles.

Just to reiterate, the problem arose when I activated pretranslations. They had not been in use prior to that. I have, of course, deactivated pretranslations and the consoles have worked properly since.

Still, I'll make LSNO 1 into LSNO 2xx and see if that helps.

Thank you.

Harry

xlst 1 - IS ASSIGNED TO CONSOLES (2250) BY DEFAULT. Any modification of PRE of XLST 1 will affect the Console dialing translation.

Thank you. That is something I suspected but was unable to locate in the manuals. And I see how your recommendation will correct the problem I was having with the consoles as well as allow me to assign pretranslations to the guest rooms.

Again, thank tou.

Is your BPSS in LD 15 is set to YES?if yes the first dialed digit (9) is pretranslated however, the first digit of the digits stored in the speed call list entry is not pretranslated.
