Any assistance with the following will be greatly appreciated.

We have created a new ERP 300 2014 VM and have applied Update 3.
We then restored an ERP 300 2012 database and are having problems activating this database for the new version.

We get the following error:
1. Incorrect procedure. You must run Day End Processing before proceeding. - Source Inventory Control 6.2A
2. Incorrect procedure. You must run Day End Processing before proceeding. - Source Purchase Orders 6.2A

We have been through all of the modules and have posted all batches or deleted unwanted batches and have also run End of Day in IC with no errors (multiple times). But we keep on getting the same error.

How do we find out what is causing the problems. Are there any tables we can interrogate or flags that we can set in the database tables to work around this problem - the database is our development database so are happy to apply some data level changes to work around the pronlem.

Thanks.

Hi Etienne,

Thanks for response.

We have 2 VMs - 1 with Accpac 2012 which is the current activated system and the second with Accpac 2014 which we are attempting to setup. What we have done on 2012 is to ensure that all transactions are posted and that IC end of day is run and then unload from 2012 and load into 2014. Then in 2014 we attempt to activate and get the reported error. So, IC end day has been run in 2012 but we still get the reported error after dbload and attempt to activate into 2014.

BTW, you don't have to Dbdump/Dbload to go to a new version, that's an old wive's tale. Just detach/copy/attach.
