Problem accessing warehouse catalog

when i click on the warehousecatalog on the schemai get a message "invalid procedure call or argument" and i am unable to access the warehouse catalog.
do any one of you faced this problem? if so please let him know how to work around it.

I've gotten that sometimes, when the memory is running low on my machine. I can either close the application or restart the computer and that usually fixes it.

I did everything, it still the same. but other people are able to access!

Do you have any report with object prompts on them? Try using View filters instead of object prompts.
Also are you logged on as administrator?

i don't understand what object prompts or view filters has to do with accessing warehouse catalog?

The error usually arises (also gets logged into DSSErrors.log) as a result of object prompt. Refer TN5700-723-1112 for details.
The article further states that the error WILL NOT occur if object prompts are not used. I am assuming that it is the reason.

Are other people able to access using your login from their machines? In other words, does the problem appear to be just on your machine? If so, perhaps you could uninstall, and reinstall desktop....

Is your machine just like everyone elses or is it a weaker machine? Like I said before, I've gotten the error when memory was running low, but, I think their error handling is a little quirky sometimes, in that they don't give you the best descriptions all the time, so it might not have anything to do with memory.

 

I can login on other machines and access the catalog...on my machine i can't even access warehouse catalog in microstrategy tutorial project...so i think as you said the problem is with the software ....may be some file is corrupted on my machine...i will reinstall desktop on my machine again and see if it works..
