Hey Everyone,

Here is my problem. We have an ISA server running in Integrated mode, but only being used as a cache server. The integrated mode was used, so that we can define ports/protocols. Anyway, we have a client machine that is used to order sales material. The client accesses the website, logs in, and chooses what she wants. When she tried to add it to her "shopping cart" the connection times out. I have bypassed the proxy, and the site works just fine.

I have double-checked protocol rules as well as site & content and routing rules. All protocols are allowed, and all sites are allowed. Routing rules pull info directly from the source. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I am having the exact same problem accessing certain vendor catalogs in Ariba. The web sites I am accessing are HTTPS websites and by default, only port 443 is setup for the HTTPS protocol. I am trying to create a new Protocol Definition to allow other non-standard HTTPS ports, but I do not have the option to Create a Protocol Definition.

Hey mmarkr,

To create a Protocol Definition, you have to install ISA in Integrated Mode. If you have ISA installed in Cache Only mode, you don't have the option to define a protocol. Hope this helps.

Hi,

Have you checked your active caching? It could be your ISA is caching asp pages.
Check the cache tab in your routing rules (if you defined any other than the default rule). If cache content including dynamic content is cached this could be the problem. Check "if souce and request headers indicate ....etc" instead.

hth,

Frans
