Hey guys,
I've got a customer with an IP500v2 on 9.1.12 - I posted recently about my troubles with some of the configuration that they want, and we've worked through most of the issues. I have one nagging issue now and I can't seem to find a good work around.
They have your standard exec/assistant set up with bridged appearances, where the assistants sit in and listen to the calls a lot of the time - and we've set up a "Private Call" button on the executive's phones. The goal being if a call comes in and their assistant answers it then the executive presses their own call appearance to join the call, they can later press the Private Call button to drop the assistant off and prevent anyone from bridging back onto the call for the duration.
The problem is if the call is answered by the assistant on their bridged appearance, all the Private Call button does is drop the executive off their own call appearance. I imagine this is because the assistant becomes the "owner" of that call. If the executive picks the call up first it works fine, but that's a very rare scenario.
I was wondering if anyone had another method I can try out. I appreciate it, ya'll are the best!
