I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH VISUAL FOXPRO AT ALL, HOWEVER I HAD SOMEONE ASK ME ABOUT A PROBLEM THEY HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH FOR SOME TIME....

3 COMPUTERS, ALL NETWORKED TOGETHER. THEY ARE ALL RUNNING THE SAME VISUAL FOXPRO PROGRAM. PART OF THE PROGRAM IS CONFIGURED TO PRINT TO ONE CERTAIN PRINTER THE OTHER PART OF THE PROGRAM IS SET TO PRINT TO ANOTHER PRINTER. THEY DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING, JUST HIT PRINT AND IT GOES DIRECTLY TO THE SPECIFIED PRINTER.

PROBLEM... ONLY ONE OUT OF THE 3 COMPUTERS WORK THIS WAY. & THEY WANT ALL 3 TO WORK THIS WAY. SAID THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE IT IS CONFIGURED SO THAT THEY CAN GET ALL 3 COMPUTERS TO WORK THIS WAY.

ANY IDEAS ON WHERE THEY SHOULD START?

you might try...

SET PRINTER TO [DEFAULT | NAME WindowsPrinterName]
-or-
SET PRINTER TO NAME \\ServerName\PrinterName

...before calling each report. There was a very useful post with similar issue here last week.

Some how I get the feeling the 3 computers all call the printer(s) by different names.
SET PRINTER TO [DEFAULT | NAME WindowsPrinterName]
would be useless if that printer name did not exist on all 3 computers.

SET PRINTER TO NAME \\ServerName\PrinterName
would work.

Check the computers and ensure the printers are named the same before trying the first suggestion. David W. Grewe
