I have an HP business Inkjet 1100 which is connected to a computer via USB.
If a particular user tries to print to it from her computer via windows networking, the computer hangs whilst you choose to print to this particular printer, then Word hangs while it prints.
Annoying for this user who would like to be getting on with other stuff in Word whilst printing.

Anyone have any clues as to what the problem could be?

There aren't any recent-ish drivers on HP's website, so she has the most up to date.

Thanks
Emily

Assuming the printer is shared on the computer to which it's connected, and the host computer accepts communications from others through its firewall, is the printer installed on the machine attempting to use it?

I have installed the printer on the user's computer with the correct drivers.
The printer is shared on the computer it is connected to (Windows 2000) I have also activated the user called Guest.
I am at a loss as to where to go to solve this problem.

Other users can print to it fine.
