Is there a way to print a ZPLII string to the LPT1 port? I want to print labels to a Zebra Label Printer. I have done this with Java class but it only works when ran from local web app host.

So my question is how to do this with JavaScript.

Then your answer is: "You can't."

Javascript doesn't really have power outside the realm of the contents of your browser.

Is there any way from the browser I can feed a string to the client LPT1 port?

I don't think so.

Maybe you can do it with the ActiveXObject.
With ActiveXObject you can do much with you computer like changes in the filesystem/registry and even turn off the computer.. All with JavaScript and ActiveXObject.
Search for ActiveXObject and LPT1..

Thanks for all the help. I did handle it with JavaScript and ActiveX. It works great.

Good to hear that you got it to work. I use the ActiveXObject a lot when writing HTA apps..
