Printing to Dot Matrix Printers (formatting for forms)

I'm having some real problems with Filemaker Pro 6.0's problems with auto formatting layouts to the paper size. I have a dot matrix printer that is used to fill out forms.

The problem is, that to format it correctly, some of the fields extend below the page break line and therefore I can only print 3 content lines out of the required 6.

I tried creating a paper size of 20x20 inches in windows, hoping to bypass the filemaker limitation (the dot matrix printer wouldn't care because of the tractor feed) but it doesn't register unless the width is less then 11 inches (with margin included).

Is there any way to remove the formatting filemaker has so it'll print what I tell it, not what it "thinks" should go there.

Please be a bit more explicit about your problem.
FMP has aa faciltiy to specify the page size and the margins and what have you.
Sounds to me like you have an OS problem. Windoze?

Filemaker Pro 6.0 auto formats the page to fit the printer paper that you have selected.

I require a bigger piece of paper to properly position fields to print off a dot matrix printer.

If I manually extend the page, filemaker says it cannot print.

If I make a large piece of paper as a custom paper size (in windows default printers) Windows does not allow the paper to exist for print options.

This is one of the problems that occurs when programs try and do too much. I just want it to do what I tell it and print the damn page regardless of size.

I don't know how to make it simpler then that.
