I have a Canon Imagerunner 5000i Printer and I am trying to print from AS400 using IP. For some reason, it always defaults to tray 2. Is there anyway in AS400 print to a specific drawer ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much !

There is a drawer keyword in the ovrprtf command

OVRPRTF FILE(REPORT) TOFILE(P9) DEV(P9) PAGESIZE(66 +
132) LPI(6) CPI(10) OVRFLW(60) DRAWER(1) +
OUTQ(P9) FORMTYPE(P9) COPIES(1) HOLD(*YES)

grace

Also, there is a DRAWER parameter on the CRTPRTF and CHGPRTF commands.

By the way, you can't specify the default drawer on the writer; you can only specify the separator sheet drawer there.

Ah....that's the parameter I've been looking for too! I added the drawer paramter to a CL program and it worked great! Thanks.
