Just getting the hang of this. Two questions:

Is it possible to print out selections rather than full pages?

Can unused function keys be programmed to select tools from the tool bar (by mouse clicks rather than the preset keyboard strokes)?

Thanks

For ID2, see InTools from alap.com to print page portions

You lost me on Q2 - is the statement in parentheses reversed?

Thanks, and sorry, that is a bit unclear. When selecting a tool, the mouse click seems to work more consistently than attempting to select the same tool by pressing the keyboard shortcut -- for example, v to get the pointer tool (I assume this is because the keyboard shortcut is necessarily more context dependent than the mouse click). If I could assign the mouse-click selection action to a function key, I could then assign that key to one of the five buttons on my mouse, which would speed some things up).
Make sense?

I don't see much luck with the mouse idea - but I could simply be short-sighted. You might try creating more complex hotkeys to access the pointer.

ex:

CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-V (Windows)
CMD-CTRL-SHIFT-V (Mac)

These should work even if you have the text cursor positioned in the middle of a sentence.
