hi,

i have excel file with columns:
name - subject - city - street - telephone - fax etc., all together about 1.000 rows.

for example: i go to row 10 and want to print only name and subject as cover page with big & bold fonts.
just the same thing for any random selected row.

how? macro? please, avoid the vba programming - if possible.

thanks for any idea or solution.

macro IS VBA

and this task, IMHO, is not possible without VBA

thanks xlbo,
then vba solution, please.
thanks

Geoff's right. But, would you be willing to set up a new sheet with the layout and fonts of the page you want to print, and then do some formula trickery to fetch the data from your list? If so, set up your page, and select a cell just to the right of the page into which you'll be typing a source data row number, let's say in cell M2, and instead of the name, have this formula:

=INDIRECT("'Source Data'!A"&M2)

( assuming a list sheet name of Source Data, and that the name column in that sheet is column A ).

Likewise, instead of Subject, have this formula:
=INDIRECT("'Source Data'!B"&M2)

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

Obviously, then type into cell M2 the row number of the source list sheet that you want the page to fetch data from.

Cheers, Glenn.
