Hi

We have 2 (Canon/Oce) printers on each floor and each individual prints direct to the own mailbox. We have an access 2000 database that is basically a report generator from an internal system. Reports are being added and amended all the time but whats recently started happening is that who ever creates or amends a report seems to lock that report to their mailbox and anyone else who prints that report goes to that persons mailbox and not their own. It even works on different floors, I am in the basement and the report will go to mailbox 2 and not my own mailbox. Does anyone have any idea or suggestions how to solve this?

Many thanks

Fi

Probably a silly idea, but have you check that the reports are set to 'Use Default Printer' rather than 'Use Specific Printer' ...

Well all applications are set to use the default printer is there a separate way within Access that you can select the printer?

You can set reports to use specific printers or the default printer under page set-up.

Well I have checked the majority of the reports and they are all set to Default printer rather than 'Use specific printer'. Maybe its more of a network issue?

Just as a matter of curiosity, what happens if you choose Use Specific Printer and then select the Printer button? is it showing the expected default printer?

Yes it is - it chooses the standard default printer as the first option to choose from.
