printing reports to a file

i have a basic report (one column, no fancy formatting, etc.) and need to save it to a text file that can be viewed in an editor like notepad. i've tried using the parameter form builder and set the Destination Type to "File", but that just saves it as a printer file (not human readable). does anyone have any suggestions?

i figured out a way.. destype=delimited. there's a tab at the end of the line though, does anyone know a way to get rid of that?
