Printing problems w/OpenOffice.org

I get the full document printed on the right half of the page & nothing on the left half of the page in Text/word processor, the other programs print correctly?
I went to page preview and set the page to 1 column (default appears to be 1 row; 2 columns), I have checked the printer settings and can find no reason!

I am running Win98 SE and using an Epson C80 (usb) printer.

I just installed the office suite and have never used it before.

In case anyone wants to know, the 'options\text\print' settings were set to 'brochure'. When I tried to change this I found that I couldn't! The file had been saved and all of the settings were saved with it. I contemplated turning off the 'save settings w/file' but I think I'll wait awhile.
