Hi all,
I am unable to print from autocad but can print from other programs. I found a link that solves this problem. But i could get to implement the solution.

I am trying to:
net use lpt3 \\server\printer\ /precision:yes

We use print server to get to printers, there are 2 printers on that same port(2 parallels)..

I added printers using Add printer wizard as a local printer instead of network printer..

how do i use above net use command for my scenario. My port name is 'sc045788e'
printer1 is identified as sc045788e_p1 and other as sc045788e_p2.

Help me if anyone solved problem printing to local printer..

Thanks,
ppc2k

When you open the printer through the Plotter Manager, check the port that it is printing to first.

I have had some luck fixing network printer problems, by simply entering in the IP address of the printer instead.

HI,
Our printers that I am trying to print from Autocad are on print server. They are identified by a port name. They do not have any IP address.
Usually to add those printers, I add a print server port and select Parallel 1 or 2.
So, How do I use 'NET USE' command in this scenario?
Or is there any other things I should check to make things work.

Thanks,
ppc2k
