So I have some impromptu reports which have the user pick some criteria in the power prompt apps. How would i get this selected criteria output in the final report too like in the header to let the user know what he actually chose.

Select Insert from the menu bar,
Select More options,
Select Prompt Variables,
A listing of your prompts should appear,
select the prompt and say ok,
Put it in your header section.
Note that you can rename your prompt name once it is in your header.. But be careful. Test it again, to make sure your prompt is still working.

Hey Karie. Thanx for the reponse but the prompts I am trying to put in the report are coming from a power prompts app that runs before the cognos report.

AFAIK this isn't possible.

You could maybe do something complicated with the HTML of each page, and get each option to write to a temp table which the report then reads. Never tried it though.
