Printing PDF documents from unix

I need a way to print pdf documents from a program running on Unix. Either a command line command or a program under window will work.

I am currently researching ghostscript and acroread for unix and have a sample VB code that runs acroread on windows.

Any advice on the best way to handle this would be appreciated.

A little more detail. The program running in unix is an RMCOBOL program.
