We have a user we just upgraded from 5.5 to 6.0. When he prints ANY message in GroupWise, it prints in what appears to be "arabic". He can print fine with other applications, but not from GW. We've tried a reinstall w/o any success. He's running Windows 98 and Office 2000. Because of prior issues with Office 2000 and GroupWise I wasn't sure if Office could be culprit or not.

What version of the Groupwise Agents are you running? v5.5 or v6.0?

Also, what is the NetWare Server OS version? Any Support Packs installed?

Please advise.

Have you tried printing from Internet Explorer? I have a machine that was printing Arabic from IE5.5.

I have had 2 user's who have arabic printing as well. One user was using 5.5ep and the other upgraded from EP to 6.0 and then experienced the arabic printing.

Any ideas on how to correct this issue???

We did resolve this! This happened when we upgraded to 6.0SP1.

The solution was to reinstall the print driver. However, our techs have found that sometimes it's necessary to re-adjust the fonts in Windows as well as in GroupWise too.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't think I would get anything because the post because your post was from last March so I reposted in another thread.

We did re-install the printer driver but did not change the windows font. I will have to try changing the font. We are using GW6 sp2.

There is a similar thread regarding arabic printing in GroupWise (use "arabic" as your keyword search). Generally the printer driver needs to be reinstalled as it has become corrupted in some way. This has certainly worked in my environment (GW6, W2k and W9x workstations, Novell 5.1) for all instances of the problem.
