Hi All,

I run windows active directory server 2003 on my network to manage my LAN systems and users.

I also have two HP network printers installed on the LAN. I need a script to be able to determine the following:

1: The quantity of print jobs recieved per printer
2: The user that sends the print Jobs
3: The quantity of jobs sent per

Solution to this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi all,

Does anybody has answer to this.

Thanks

I am searching for the same thing, and i have found this. Unless someone knows of something else??? But as far as i know what your asking is not an option unless it's with an add in program.

I found this on another help site:

Regarding monitoring the printing jobs for each user, I am afraid that
there is not such a feature in SBS 2003. However, there are some

Thanks Mark,

Do I need to enable Audit Policy on GPolicy?

Can you hint me on how to go about it. The script to pull out the data is not included in your famous logon Script.

Thanks

Yes, you would enable auditing in the GPMC.

You will find the auditing under:
Computer Configuration
Windows Settings
Audit Policies
Audit Object Access

As for grabbing the data with script, check out the Microsoft Scripting Center for examples.

be warned that enabling auditing will fill your logs quickly.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
